How I did today with my challenge? Day 1
So today I weighed, and I was 204.0. I was actually really happy about that because of the .0! So I’m pretty close to 203!
Today Billy worked from home which was nice seeing him all day
Some of you might remember me writing about his car being messed up, well it still is. But we took it to the shop today after lunch, and let them take a look at it. They think it might be the clutch. Billy was afraid it might be mainly because he’s basically replaced everything else it could be. But he didn’t want to mess with it because of it being so hard to do. So he told to fix it. It’s going to coast about $1,260! Billy just got a bonus though THANK GOD!!!!!! He got about a $900 bonus which he gets about 4 times a year. I was REALLY hoping to spend that money on Christmas presents cause it would help a lot, but it doesn’t always work the way you want it to ha? I’m just glad that we will be basically be out of $400 instead of $1,260 without the bonus.
I took my vitamins today. I drank about 100 oz of water and I ate 1,521 calories today
I about peed my pants when I figured up how many calories I had for lunch! I had 763 calories for lunch alone!!! I thought NO WAY I could have had that many. All I had was 2 hot dogs on a bun with Skyline (Cincinnati) chili and a little bit of shredded cheese! So I only ate 340 calories for dinner. But MAN did I get full! I had a really big salad with lettuces, cauliflower, and light Caesar dressing, and spaghetti. And let me tell you those 340 calories filled me up a hell of a lot more than that 763 calories!
A little while after we ate Billy and I headed over to the gym to exercise. Well we get there, and there were a TON of people! I think they were all doing a get together and training type of thing. The gym at our apartment complex is VERY small. 2 treadmills 2 elipitcals, 1 stationary bike, and like 3 exercise machines. And there was somebody on everything! Plus a couple in the middle of the gym doing lunges! So we decided to walk, and run around our apartment complex. It was really hard because it’s SO cold outside! it hurt to breath! So we just did a couple laps, and ran a few times. We did that for about 25 minutes, then decided to come inside. So I think we did pretty good considering we could have just said “oh there are too many people in the gym… lets go home and sit on our butts and do nothing!”
What are you doing today to contribute to your journey today and beyond?
Today I contributed to my journey by not sitting on my butt all day. I cleaned the house, and did laundry. I counted my calories, and I tried to make healthy choices. And when things didn’t pan out with the gym I decided to get my exercise in another way!
Hope you guys had a GREAT day!

Awh sis you did great!!!! Glad to see that when there was a brick wall in your way you concord it!!!! Way to jump over and beyond that wall!!!! I am soooo sorry to hear about Billy’s car! I was hoping it wouldn’t be the clutch!!!!! I will have you guys in my thoughts and prayers! I love you
You are doing great so far! That sucks about the car, but at least you guys now know what it is and it will be fixed. The bonus couldn’t have come at a better time.
You did great!! Funny how those calories add up but don’t fill you up? So glad you got the bonus to help you with the car!
You are so inspiring! Thank you!
I love this idea! Especially asking yourself each day what you are doing to contribute to your journey. I need to incorporate that into the plans I’ve been putting together. Thanks!
Good job!
8. Ask myself everyday “What are you doing today to contribute to your journey today and beyond?”
I’m glad to see you Like #8, as that is the very question I posed to the cats in the chat forum. Great thing you are incorporating it into your goals.
